Delores Maxine (Jackson) Johnson

On August 20, 2019, God called Delores Maxine Johnson home to be with Him.  Delores Maxine Johnson, of Washington, DC, was born June 30, 1932, the first daughter of the late Altia Lucille Burleson and Harvey Jackson, and Step father William J. Burleson.  On September 17, 1948, Delores and the late George Victor Johnson, Sr. were married and from this union they had five children.  She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed entertaining family and friends.  Delores worked at the S & R supermarket, Giant Food store, Atlantic Research Corporation and the Bell Atlantic (Verizon) telephone company where she retired after more than 25 years of dedicated service.   

Delores, leaves the following loved ones to cherish her memory: two daughters, Jacquelyn D. Rice, Denice M. Johnson; three sons, George Jr., Rodney T. and Derek A. Johnson; Two sisters Althia E. Smith and Gale K. Posey; Two brothers in- law, Donnie Ray Johnson, and  Carroll Posey, One sister in- law Janet E. Williamson; One daughter in law Sheila Johnson; five granddaughters, LaToya Rice, Meagan Johnson, Adonica Curry, Tameka Reid, Regina Marshall; four grandsons, Tahir, Nadir and George III, Johnson, Lynard Marshall; nine great-grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.

On Wednesday, August 28, 2019 a visitation will be held from 10 am until hour of service 11am
