On Friday, July 7, 2017 Elizabeth Ann Barksdale Stokes transitioned to her Heavenly home.  Beloved  mother of Dennis N. Barksdale (Vanessa), Allison B. Barksdale and Hillary A. Garner (Robert) and dear sister of George Alexander and the late Robert Alexander.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicole (Kenneth), Justin, Corrin, Xavier, Dale, Jr., Trevon, Kyra and Riley, great grandchildren Kennedy and Kenneth, Jr.; a host of other relatives and friends.  On Tuesday, July 18th a visitation will be held from 4pm until hour of service 5pm at the Temple of Praise 700 Southern Ave. SE. On Wednesday, July 19th an additional viewing will be held from 1pm until 1:45pm at the Hogg Funeral Home located at 3098 George Washington Memorial Hwy. Gloucester Point, Virginia 23062 with interment immediately following at the Rosewell Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Hayes, Va.
