Leona Lee Gibson transitioned on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the Bridgepoint Hospital at the National Harbor in Washington, DC.  She was the beloved wife of the late John Jacob Gibson and a loving mother to Peggy Louise Hines (Robert), Minnie Hughes, Gloria Milner (Garfield), Linda, Brenda, Michael and the late Anthony and John L. Gibson.  She is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  On Monday, July 17th a visitation will be held from 10am until hour of service 11am at Peace Baptist Church 712- 18th St. NE Washington, DC  20002  Rev. Dr. Michael T. Bell, Pastor.  Interment National Harmony Memorial Park in Landover, Maryland.
