He departed this earthly life on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in his home, due to a prolonged illness. Beloved husband of Louberta for 65 years of marriage. Devoted father of six children Kenneth (deceased), Gwendolyn (Larry), James (deceased), Clarence E., Lynda (Eric, deceased) Moseley and Samuel Gorham (Patricia). Grandfather of Detrice, Samuel Jr., Veronica, Luciana (James), James (Melissa), Robyn, Chris, Sekeitha, Brandon, Eric Jr. (Bianca), Kiona, and Lynise. He also leaves to cherish his memory twelve great-grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Samuel worked as a mason and was a member of the local 891 plasterers and cement masons. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday August 23, 2018 from 9:30am until hour of service 11am at the Dupont Park SDA Church, 3985 Massachusetts Avenue SE Washington DC, 20019. The Burial will be held at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, 3401 Bladensburg Road, Brentwood MD 20722.
