On Thursday, April 26, 2018 Beloved husband of Barbara Dickson-Carter, loving father of Derrick Thomas Carter, Ryan and Shireen Dickson. He is also survived by siblings, Tyrone and Francis Carter, Mary, Frances Young and Bernadette Toye; a host of other relatives and friends. On Saturday, May 5th a visitation will be held from 10am until hour of service 11am at the Lanham United Methodist Church 5512 Whitfield Chapel Rd. Lanham, MD 20706 Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the National Stroke Association 9707 East Easter Lane, Suite B Centennial, CO 80112.
