Carolyn Gladys (Ross) Murray

Carolyn Murray, 81, beloved wife of the late Walter C. Murray and mother to David Murray (Torrey) and Darren Murray (Nicole), passed away on December 15, 2025.  In addition to her  children, her love and legacy continue through her five cherished grandchildren: Kaila Lindo, Korin Murray, Darren Murray, Noah Murray, and Devin Murray.

Born on September 24, 1944, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Carolyn is the only child of the late David C. and Inez Speed Ross. She graduated from Talladega College in Talladega, AL, and attended Howard University for post-graduate studies. Carolyn's love for learning and serving others led to her career in education. She worked as a middle school and high school mathematics teacher in DC Public Schools. She also served as an adjunct professor and academic advisor at Prince George's Community College. A proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Carolyn deeply embodied the values of scholarship, service, and sisterhood. 

The family appreciates your prayers, love, and support during this time.  
Carolyn Ross Murray will be remembered for her dedication to education and her unwavering love for her family and friends.
