On Friday, May 28, 2026, Charles Edward Harley, Sr. peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 84, surrounded by his loving family at home. Though his presence will be deeply missed, the memories, lessons, laughter, and love he shared will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Sanders and Annie Meyers; his siblings Ronnie and Michael Meyers, and Retha Mae Peeples; and others who welcomed him into eternal peace.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his devoted and loving wife, Rosa Harley; his three sons, Christopher (Carolyn), Charles, Jr. (Tonia), and Maurice “Tony” (Indica); his sister, Diane Meyers and brother Dwight Meyers; his cherished grandchildren, Sharnea Foreman, Christian (Britney) Harley, Malik Harley, Christal Harley, Chazz Harley, Chiderah Harley, Chantz Harley, and Milo Harley; great-granddaughter; Amari Harley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, former players, and all whose lives were forever touched by his love, guidance, humor, and unwavering presence.
Well done, good and faithful servant.
