On Sunday, June 6, 2021, Deacon Harper transitioned peacefully at the Villa Rosa Nursing Home. He is the beloved husband of Deaconess Almarie Harper, loving father of Oscar Jerry Harper, Jr. (Robin), Joseph O. Harper (Mia) and the late Sheila Marie Wheeler; dear grandfather to Joseph I. Harper, Bethany N. Johnson and the late David J. Harper; great grandfather to Dashia, David and D'Nia and great great grandfather to Delonte. Oscar is also survived by his dear brother Joseph A. Harper and a host of other relatives and friends.
