At the precious age of 69, Delinois Philogene went on home after living an amazing life filled with love, joy, and God.Known by many people as either Brother Delinois, Freda, or Phil, he was everyone's best friend and counselor. Delinois is survived by his wife Saintagrace, children: Valissa, Christina, Elizabeth, Philip, Isaac, and grandchildren: Alayna and Jalen. His life was truly a life that showed his love for God was evident. In every area of his life, God showed him favor. At work, he was respected highly as a manager and grown very skillful in his work.In church, he was dependable and very spiritual. A man dedicated to the his calling from God, he served the church for over 40 years. Ministering didn't stop on Sundays, though, and in an effort to reach and witness more people, he began a fun campaign called "2K For Christ". Using his taxi company, he offered people rides and Jesus. However, his first ministry was his family.
The Lord's favor can be seen from the very start with a marriage in July 1987 tlyo the most compassionate, loving, and dedicated wife, Saintagrace. It was a whirlwind romance where he proposed to her after one week of meeting and married within 6months. With her, he had five children who he loved lavishly and raised with endless support. He was able to watch his children reach several milestones. From watching them walk across various stages to receive their respective degrees to walking his eldest daughter, Valissa Gyamena, down the aisle of her wedding to welcoming his beautiful grandchildren into the world, Alayna and Jalen Gyamena. His other children - Christine, Elizabeth, Philip, and Isaac - are now tasked with caring for their mother until they follow in their older sister's footsteps and build their own families.
His life and love for God is an inspiration to many all around. The legacy Delinois leaves behind will continue to impact many years down the line. Ultimately, as one uses this time to reflect on him, be encouraged to turn all attention to truly focusing on HIM above, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Delinois gone on to glory in the best position possible: with a love for God and His Word in his heart. All are inspired to imitate him as truly walked with Christ in obedience.
