Edward “Sonny” L. Johnson, Sr. (June 26, 1938)-transitioned to eternity on Friday, February 9, 2024 in Jacksonville, Florida. He leaves to celebrate and cherish his life, his wife Gloria L. Johnson, his children Karen (Lloyd) Pernell, Eddie (Doris) Johnson, Monica Johnson, Steven (Michelle) Johnson; stepson Frank (Bakim) Hartwell, brother Bernard Johnson (Darcel), brother-in-law Anthony Hartwell (Melinda), Baltimore, MD, sister-inlaw Frances Bennett, Asbury Park, NJ, Grandchildren Kiana, Darren, Timothy and Jazmine (Luis), step grandchildren Jasmine, Devin, Imani and Imari; great grandchildren, Kanai, Kai’yel and Lovello.   He was preceded in death by his grandson Sean and sister Barbara Ladson.
