On May 18, 2026, God dispatched an Angel of Mercy to quietly escort Mom into the heavenly realm ofeternal rest and peace. To honor her legacy and cherish her memory, she leaves her devoted children, Michael Powell (Cassandra), Ramona Powell Mebane (Oscar), and Gregory Powell. She was predeceased by her sons Tyrone Powell (Victoria) and Jeffery Powell (Dinah). Also, she leaves 8 grandchildren, Katrena Robinson (Dennis), Oscar D. Mebane (Nicole), LaShawn Powell, Nakisha Mebane, Tanisha Nelson, Tamara Allen (Marcus), Tiffani Nelson-Walker, Antuan Powell (Tayla); 17 great-grands, Michael, Oscar, III, Desmond, Gabriell, Kayla, Nicholas, Quan, Jaden, Ty, McKenzie, Kiden, Angel, Makenna, Maya, Faith, Mason, Marcus, Jr.; great-great grandchild, Memphis; brother Freddy Jackson, Sr. (Marsha); sister Caroleen Fields; extended family, Diane Mebane, the Berry family,Kimberly Jackson, Nancine Daniel, and a host of other relatives and friends.
