Francie Mae (Jefferson) Banks

Francie Mae Jefferson Banks, at the youthful age of 101, transitioned with the sunset on Monday, January 30, 2023, after a brief stay at the University of Maryland, Capital Regional Medical Center, in Largo, Maryland. She leaves to cherish her memory three loving son’s - Robert T. Banks, Francis L. Banks(Rachel), Edward Banks(Paula), son-in-law, Robert Pennix(Joan), and a devoted daughter - Phyllis Ann Moore(Joseph).  In addition to children, Francie’s love extended to her bonus daughters Barbara Johnson of Lynchburg, Va., and Ethel Curry of Washington, D.C.

The memory of Francie will be carried by her cherished 15 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 21great-great-grandchildren, adopted grandchildren Reverend Dr. Carl E.  Brinkley, Jr., Russell Young, James Cox, Rena Cameron-Ray, Natalie Kirkland, Cynthia Walden, Shawnreika Brown, and Tammy Clements.  Loving nieces Gwen Austin and Ruth Johnson. Devoted friends Mrs. Ann Haskins, Leroy and Mary-Linda Eubanks, all of Lynchburg, Va., and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
