Hayes was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn, father, Hayes, Sr., mother, Johnnie, sister Geraldine, brother, Charles and daughter, Suporia. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter Stephanie (Tony) Meeks, niece Sheryl James, grandchildren Courtney, Chelsea, Jenai, and Toni, brothers-and sisters-in-law, Eulas (Susan) Dortch, Delphine (Lester) Shepard, Thurman (Hellen) Dortch, Grace (Gary) Clark and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
