Joe was a thoughtful, steady provider with a strong work ethic. He believed in responsibility, consistency, and showing up for the people who depended on him. People often said he was the kind of man you'd be proud to call Papa Joe.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Greta Ann Jackson, Upper Marlboro, MD; his children, Myles Stanley Jackson, (Chantal) Upper Marlboro, MD, Crystal Yvonne Jackson, Los Angeles, CA and Joseph Darryn Jackson, (Patricia) Upper Marlboro, MD; his cherished grandchildren, Sheenamarie Jones, Atlanta, GA, Jordan Jackson, (Danielle) Portland, OR, Crystal Jackson, Upper Marlboro, MD and Master Jackson, Las Vegas, NV; and his great-grandchild, Malcom Jackson Clark, Upper Marlboro, MD. He is also survived by his sister, Smyrna N. Jackson, Silver Spring, MD and his sister-in-law, Anna L. Jackson, Baltimore, MD.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Jackson and Leola Scurry Jackson; his brothers, William J. Jackson, Jr. and Stanley L. Jackson; and his sister, Anna Marie Ross.
