Lagloria Brinkley Obituary

LaGloria Marquita Brinkley born on January 28, 1984 in Washington, DC to Gloria Dean Brinkley and James Sanders. Yes, affectionately named after her Beloved mother Gloria Dean. Those who knew LaGloria knew that she had a vivacious spirit!  Unique in her own way . Metaphorically speaking, at times her bark was certainly bigger then her bite. She was always outspoken and was definitely going to get her point across. She loved a “good debate” and telling jokes among family. She is loved by all who knew her. She will be remembered by her aunts as always saying “I love you, Auntie” ! She will be remembered by her uncle as (What’s up Unc) and will forever be remembered by her Pride & Joy Nephew Blake as (Auntie Boo Boo). Their bond was definitely one to love. LaGloria would spend many days playing LEGO’s, PlayStation, basketball and cooking them both late night snacks. Always reminding him “Boy you’re just like your uncle Pee-Wee”.

Baptized at an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.  Recently, LaGloria enjoyed attending Church and Bible Study with her mother and her Aunt Noralean.  LaGloria was a graduate of  Anacostia High School and for several years she enjoyed providing childcare for her family and friends.   LaGloria enjoyed hanging out with her family and close friends.  She enjoyed eating good “soul food” just to name a few, her mom’s ribs, her aunts famous cabbage,  her cousins delicious salmon cakes and her aunts cakes.  LaGloria loved life and bringing laughter to those around her.

LaGloria is proceeded in death by her Sister Wendy Brinkley, her brother Donald Brinkley, Grandparents Effie & Earl Lee Brinkley, two aunts and three uncles.  Treasured memories of LaGloria’s Life will remain in the hearts of her Mother, Gloria Dean Brinkley-Lewis and Step-Father Bobbie Lewis, Father, James Sanders, Pearl Battle (Ma Pearl), one Sister, Shanai Brinkley (Brandon), two Brothers, Domingo Stevenson & Maurice Talley, Two Step- Brothers, Terry & Bobbie Jr, two Nephews Blake and Tra, three nieces Domia, Kyra, Star and a Best Friend Donna with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and many friends.
