On Sunday, September 3, 2023, Larry Artis Poteat Sr. (LAP) transitioned to be with Our Lord and Savior. He is preceded in death by his parents: Joseph McKinley and Pearl Lucille Bond Poteat; and his twin brother: Garry Otis Poteat.
Larry leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife: Loretta A. Johnson of Washington, DC; sons: Larry A. Poteat, Jr. (Megan) of Trappe, MD and Lamont A. Poteat of Washington, DC; siblings: LaVerne Poteat Scott (Walter III) of Fort Washington, MD, Anthony M. Poteat (Marilyn) of Upper Marlboro, MD, Cynthia R. Poteat of Washington, DC, Tyrone D. Poteat (Barbara) of Bryantown, MD, and Loretta A. Poteat of Catonsville, MD; and a host of nieces, a great-niece, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and special friends.
