Mary is survived by her husband, Russell Muse Sr., her four children and their spouses: Lisa Muse–Artis (Steven), Russell Muse Jr., (Michelle), Vincent Muse (Latonya), and Michelle O. Muse. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: (Children of Lisa Muse-Artis & Former Son -in-law- Anthony Shields Sr.) Anthony Shields Jr., Ashley Shields, Alesha ields, Alanna Shields Andre Shields, Adrian Shields, Asia Shields, Alex Shields, Aaron Shields; (Children of: Russell Jr. & Michelle) Melissa Spencer, Marquis Muse, Monica Muse, Neveah Muse, Mariah Muse, Jaron Willis, Damon Willis, Antwan Willis; (Children of: Vincent & LaTonya) Breon Quinones and Devonte Thomas. She is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, affectionately called her “GG.” Mary is further survived by her two brothers, Paul Battle Jr. and Robert Battle, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
Mary Estella Muse is leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, faith, and many unforgettable
moments and meals. Her spirit will live on at every family gathering, every song sung to a
newborn grandchild, and every tradition she has ever created with love. She will be
tremendously missed.
