Melvin Holmes Jr. was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Holmes, and is lovingly remembered by his father, Melvin Holmes Sr. He is also cherished by his children: Janice, Melvin III, Dorretta, Lawrence, and Darneece; his siblings: Raymond, Richard, and Dettra; his grandchildren: Rahiem, Raquan, Donovan, Nevae’h, Madison, Meagan, Juanyé, Kejuan, and Makenzie; his daughters-in-law: Lakeda and Tameka; his sister-in-law, Kim; his niece, Raven; his nephews, Tyrall and Andre; and a host of other family members and friends.
