Minister Gwendolyn is survived by her husband, Minister Patrick Pete; daughter, Bianca Nicole Evelyn Pete; son Johnnie B Pope III (Sherry); granddaughter Alanna; grandsons: Gabriel, Ethan, and Brayden; brothers: Lin, Wesley, and Russell Scott; sisters: Brenda Dawson and Joyce Huffman (John Huffman); nieces: Jasmine James, Megan James, Taylor Scott and Wanda Lewis; nephews: Ryan James, Anthony Lewis, and Pierre Dawson along with several other nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins.
Minister Gwendolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Edna Earle Dawson Scott; sister, Edna Faye Dawson; brother, Charles Scott, grandson, AJ and nephew, Mario Godette.
