Phyllis Haigler-Felder Obituary

 

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving three children: Maurice (Chontrese) Haigler of Richmond, Virginia; Monica Dean of Boston, Massachusetts; and Ikela Marcea Dean (Lawrence Yancey) of Fort Washington, Maryland; ten beloved grandchildren: Maria McDowell, Monaya Haigler, Marvin McDowell, Jr., Monique Haigler, Marlon McDowell, Kendall Marie Mills, Maurice Haigler Jr., Iyanna McDowell, Mercedes Haigler, and Marion Haigler; and ten great-grandchildren: Zania McDowell, Angelina Coward, Elijah Coward, Maya Coward, Zachary McDowell, Myla McDowell, Hunter King-Robertson, Samiya McDowell, Samir McDowell, and Amir McDowell all who brought endless joy to her life.

 

She is also survived by her loving siblings: Rose (John) Reddish of District Heights, Maryland; Stanley (Inez) Haigler of Washington, D.C.; Victor Hampton of Richmond, Virginia;  and Janie Mae Benjamin of Richmond, Virginia. 

She also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved aunts, Barbara Ann (Heyward) Bonaparte and Charlese Leatherwood; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. She held a particularly special place in her heart for her nieces and nephews Yoshica, Wanda, Valerie, Otis, Tasha, PeeWee, Ron, Charles, Ronnie Jr. ("Boo Boo"), LaKeyia, and the late Terrell, each of whom she loved dearly.

Phyllis Haigler-Felder lived a life defined by faith, service, generosity, strength, and unconditional love. She found joy in bringing people together, lifting others up, and making every gathering brighter simply by being present. Her beautiful smile, vibrant personality, impeccable style, and giving heart will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her love, her laughter, and the countless lives she touched will continue to inspire generations to come. Her legacy lives on through her family, her friends, and all who were blessed to call her Momma, Ma, Grandma, Sister, Aunt Phil, Cousin, and Friend.
