He is preceded in death by his parents: David L. Brown and Wilhelmina Brown Godfrey; his bonus father: Kenneth Godfrey; his brother: David L. Brown II; and his mother-in-love: A. Gwendolyn Gradney.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of twenty-one years: Rochalle Brown of Upper Marlboro, MD; daughters: Denise Brown and Melissa Brown, of Germantown, MD; son: Kenny Brown (Angelina) of Olney, MD; sons-in-love: Kevin Nash (Chandra) of Mastic, NY and Kenyon Nash (Chantel) of Upper Marlboro, MD, eleven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a goddaughter: Kailese Strider; a best friend: Chuck Bostwick; and a host of other relatives and friends.
