Robert E. Cappell was born April 18, 1954 in Pinehurst, North Carolina to the late Robert and Carline Capel.  He departed this life on April 10, 2020 in Bowie, Maryland. He attended and graduated from Pinecrest High School in Southern Pines, North Carolina.  He went on to further his studies at Howard University in Washington, D. C. where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.  After which, he attended Howard University Law School and obtained his Juris Doctor Degree.  He later attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC and obtained a master’s degree in Taxation. As a young attorney, he worked in a law firm in Washington, DC, eventually branching out in the early 80’s to start his own law firm. He leaves to cherish memories, his sister Gloria Minnette Riggs and husband Leonard of Bowie Maryland; nephew Christopher Riggs of New York, New York; niece Tonya L. Jarvis and husband David of Bowie Maryland; two great-nieces Cayla and Chelsea Jarvis of Bowie Maryland, and a host of relatives and friends.
