Steven Delonta Evans

Steven Delonta Evans, more affectionately known as Steve, made his entry into this universe on August 7, 1989; being born to Shannon Evans and the late Steven Dunbar. He peacefully made his exit on the morning of Thursday, May 6, 2021.

Steve attended DC Public Charter Schools and Friendly High School in Fort Washington, Maryland. He had various jobs and recently acquired his Bartender Certification.  Steve enjoyed family, dancing, music, skating, and traveling. He had great taste as his favorite dish was Chicken Alfredo, his favorite vocalist was Anita Baker, and his favorite professional football team was the Washington Football Team. 

Steve had an infectious smile and a personality that would brighten even the unhappiest person’s day. When in his company, you were guaranteed laughter, jokes, joning, and to hear him say, “But guess what!” Steve was brave, thoughtful, and he easily made friends. He had great inner strength and never let a challenge get the best of him. He found great joy in spending time with Harmon and True.

Steve was preceded in death by his biological father Steven Dunbar, and his grandfather Robert Lee Evans.  Left to cherish many fond memories are: his loving and devoted mother Shannon Evans, Ronnell Mason (Dad), sister Roneisha Mason; paternal brothers Tyree Borges and DeMarco Boyd; nephew Kyrie; great grandmother Scotia Russell; grandmothers Cosette Derr and Jacqueline Dunbar; special family members - aunt Malinda, cousins Stephon and De’Vonta (who were like his brothers), Domonique and Alanah; God sister Shelby; his close friends Eric, Joe, and Ty’shon; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
