Thomas Jones, Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Thomas Jones Jr., announces his transition to the heavenly realm.  Thomas Jones, affectionately known as "Tom Jones," or "Pops", departed this life on February 29, 2024, at his home in District Heights, MD. He was born on August 22, 1936, in Liberty County, Georgia.  Thomas lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to his family. A dedicated bus driver with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) for over 25 years, Thomas was also known for his infectious charm, zest for life, and unwavering commitment to spreading joy to all he encountered.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Ladocia, fourteen children, thirty-five grandchildren, a multitude of great-grandchildren, and cherished loved ones. Thomas' legacy of kindness, generosity, and boundless love will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Rest peacefully, dear Thomas, you will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
