Willie Muse, Jr (affectionately known to his family and friends as Muse or Lil’ Muse) was born on
January 6, 1948 in Washington, District of Columbia to the late Mary Rachel and Willie Muse,
Sr. Willie transitioned into the arms of the Lord on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Willie attended District of Columbia Public Schools from elementary to high school. After
earning a high school diploma from Calvin Coolidge High School, Willie joined the Metropolitan
Police Department (MPD). He served twenty (20) years as a dedicated MPD-4D police officer to
maintain law and order to protect and improve the quality of life for all citizens.

Willie leaves to cherish his loving memory, beloved son, Willie Steele (Denise); one grandson: Marcus (April); seven granddaughters: Kavaun, Jordyn (Von), Jere, Johnee, Najhe, Dejah and Ryanne; seven great grandchildren: Rylie, Zo’ie, Aubrie, Aqil, Jayce, Ashton and Beau; two sisters: Agnes Muse and Nancy Coates and a host of other relatives, friends and acquaintances.
