Woodrow Ross, age 73, a proud Navy Veteran and devoted family man passed away on February 19, 2026 in Washington D.C.
He lived with quiet strength, who loved and cared for those closest to him. “Woody” will be remembered as a husband who showed up everyday. For 45 years he shared a life of commitment and partnership with the love of his life waking up singing each day. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Those who knew Woody will remember his calm and quiet nature, love of music and love of airplanes. He also loved dancing, reading and has a passion for sports watching especially the Washington Commanders and Fresno State football teams!
Woodrow is preceded in death by parents Albert and Katherine, younger brother Jerome and eldest son, Wynton Ross. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Jacqueline, daughter Karen and future son-in-law Tony, his youngest son, Marquis, grandson Kalon, daughter-in-law Victoria and children, elder siblings Louise, Albert Jr., Wilburt and Odell Ross along with his nieces and nephews, all of whom carries forward pieces of his story, his humor and his love.
