Tuawana Braxton Pridgen

Owner/ Licensed Mortician

Tuawana Braxton Pridgen, along with her husband Ervin, is the owner and managing mortician of Pridgen Funeral Home.  She has been in the industry for  twenty seven years and is currently licensed in Maryland, DC and Virginia.  Tuawana is a graduate of the University of Maryland College Park with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and the University of the District of Columbia with an Associate of Arts degree in Mortuary Science.  Over the years, she has gained experience from local homes in entry level to management positions.  Her dedication and commitment have gained her the utmost respect from her colleagues as well as families she has served.  She truly understands the value of trust and compassion when providing comfort to a family.  Tuawana is a member of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and is a founding member of the Fembalmers charitable organization. She currently resides in Mitchellville, MD with her husband, Ervin and three sons.

James Nathan Smith is an uncle and dedicated member of the Pridgen family.  He is most professional and caring when attending to our families.  At 94 years old, he has more energy than most and is always waiting for his next assignment.
